When creating a new world or just playing an existing world in single player mode, everything goes smoothly until it gets to downloading terrain. It maxes out my CPU usage, and I have a quad core 4 GHz CPU. After it finally finishes, I can't get any drops from blocks that I break or open any containers except for the Inventory. Hello there! I recently tried connecting to the server, but I get stuck on the 'Dowloading Terrain'-screen. I've tried reinstalling Minecraft, Java, and Drivers but all didnt work. I assume the "Downloading terrain" glitch is because your internet connection is slow. When I have bad ping, I get stuck on that screen for a very long time. My advice is to find a world that has <20 players in it. Even with bad ping/connection, the loading time for these low player worlds takes about 15 seconds or less.
Progress through ages, invent, explore, build, do quests(over 500!). Better with Mods, Immersive engineers, Techreborn, Refined Storage.

It looks as though there is now a lot of excess load on clients to calculate lighting changes, whereas pre 1.2 Minecraft forced the server to deal with lighting calculations. 3 Apr 2016 If other players are within your render distance when you join my server you get stuck at "downloading terrain". It happens every time other loading terrain error (i cant get into my own server??) connecting to my world. my main issue is that i get stuck on the "loading terrain" screen and restarted minecraft more times than i can count. my wifi is good enough to 6 Sep 2018 Multiple players have this error when trying to connect to the server.
